The Uganda Boxing Champions League season 3 is set to Box-off on Saturday 25th May with over 20 bouts as we kick start the new season at Lugogo Indoor Arena.
Kimbugwe Broline ‘stylist’ of COBAP who finished second in last season’s Light middle weight category will battle new entrant Nerrick Tumusiime aka Bulabe of Kololo Boxing Club in the main fight of the night.
Tumusiime took a step ahead to move from the youth category to elite where he will be fighting five rounds for the first time in the champions league.
Broline is expected to use his experience from last season where he faced challenging moments from departed boxers Isaac Zebra and Muzamir Ssemuddu who both turned to professional boxing in order to dominate the weight category.
There will be 14 bouts in the youth category with four ladies bouts on menu as week one takes centre stage.
The ladies fights will have an intense fight of Nandaula Zahara from Lukanga as she takes on Naava Getrude of Kololo boxing club in the light weight category (60kgs).
Other Bombers teammates will also be in action with Wasswa Ssali taking on Nasasira Shafik in the light weight (60kgd) category. Mulungi Kassim will be up against Mudenya Trevor in the Feather weight (58kgs) category.
