Penalty shoot-outs decide Vipers fate in Stanbic Uganda Cup

Defending champion of Stanbic Uganda Cup Vipers SC needed penalty shootout success to progress through to round of 16 past Western regional side Rugarama FC.

The normal time ended 1-1 with Abubakar Walusimbi scoring for Vipers in the 5th minute as well Kayondo scoring for Rugarama in the 9th minute.

The penalty shootouts ended 5-4 in favour of Vipers.

Vipers SC didn’t look clear as the playing surface as well heavy rains could be an excuse for Livingston Mbabazi coached side.

Vipers now shit focus in Uganda Premier league as they next visit SC Villa on 24th of Feb at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
