ISF World Schools Football 2023: 9 man Qatari defeat Kibuli S.S in group E opener.

Uganda’s Kibuli S.S lost to Qatar 1-0 in an opening game in group E played at Mohammed VI Sports Complex in ISF World Schools Championships Football 2023.

Qatar finished the game 9 men after Yousif Gaballah and Hamad Ahrak were shown marching orders by the Brazilian referee Fernando.

In a game played on Sunday July 23rd 2023, Azzam Adnan Saleh scored the only goal for the Qatar.

Despite Kibuli S.S hunting for a point in the opening game, the Qatari were too defensive.

Kibuli S.S came close to an equaliser but forward Hussein Katongole, Bahiirah Katende and left back Jumah Sajjabi didn’t convert their open chances.

“We gave our best in the game and fell short. We now look forward the next match against China 1” Kibuli S.S’ captain Bahiirah Mukiibi revealed after the game.

Kibuli S.S will next play China 1 in their next game in group E.

In other opening games, the hosts Morocco defeated Czech republic by 3goals to nil.

Ossama Ghador, Yousef Boudhna and Yassin Ajour scored for the hosts.
