Vincent Kayizzi bags Hattrick as Tooro United sail past resilient Lungujja Galaxy FC.

Former Uganda Cranes Winger Vincent Kayizzi scored three times as his side Tooro United tallied 5-3 against resilient Lungujja Galaxy FC.

In a 2022/23 Kampala Regional League Matchday Four Fixture played at Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku on Tuesday Evening visitors Lungujja Galaxy FC seemed to fare square not until the Former Uganda Cranes Winger pulled a mastroke to bring three points home.

The 38 year old experienced right  winger who  doubles as team captain,scored two of the Three goals from penalty conversion as the other he put past helpless Lungujja Galaxy Goalkeeper.

The former Bokavu Dawa FC playmaker broke the deadlock within 12 minutes after he was fouled in the forbidden area but Fredrick Jeremiah headed from a curl-in to make matters level.

Nsereko Fred striked to restore lead for the hosts in the 30th minute but Lungujja Galaxy who bossed the midfield called for square just after four minutes off a Fred Jeremiah’s diving header.

Kayizzi records four goals in 40 appearances for Uganda Cranes again converted from the spot towards interval after the visitors defender handled from the box.

Resilient Lungujja Galaxy FC came back with spirits high and indeed paid off as they got an equaliser but Vincent Kayizzi scored his thrice and team’s fourth in the 64th minute to raise bars high as Francis Kakooza put nail to coffin in the 87th minute.

The Joseph Mutyaba coached side who lost their first game 4-1 against LUFULA United will see the win as motivation heading into their next encounter with a target of probably playing second tier football next season

Meanwhile,the Busega based side Lungujja Galaxy FC will need to make corrections having not won from three starting fixtures and sit second last on the log of 13 teams in the Cobra group.
