DUNCAN MUBIRU breaks up with Co-driver.

This website has learnt that Rally Driver  Duncan Mubiru has parted ways with his co-driver Musa Nsubuga.

The pair that has lasted for the last Five years breaks with hours to the sixth round of the National Rally Championship  scheduled for 11-13th November in the districts of Jinja Iganga and Nakalama.

Eight years experienced co-driver, Musa Nsubuga, first  partially teamed up with Duncan Mubiru in 2014 when the duo competed in only two events, KCB Kenya Safari rally and KCB Kisumu rally.

They officially teamed up in 2018 and later on won the the 2021 National Rally Championship.

Together they also took a win in the Bwera Bistro masaka rally and Mbarara rally and six NRC podiums.

This win was Duncan Mubiru’s maiden Championship while a second Championship for Musa Nsubuga.

Musa Nsubuga won his maiden Championship while co-driving Dr Ashraf Mohammed in 2008.

This year Duncan Mubiru and Musa Nsubuga have been competing in NRC and ARC, recording a win in the fifth round, the NRC Bwera Bistro Masaka Rally.

Nsubuga’s replacement for the remaining two rounds of the NRC season is yet to be confirmed.

But rumors have it that Joseph Bongole will be Nsubuga’s replacement for the remaining two events then management will later make a decision on who permanently replaces Nsubuga next year.
