The organising committee of the Real starts sports awards has announced the nominees that will vie for the October awards.
A total of 15 athletes have been shortlisted across five disciplines for their excelling performances in the month of October.
The five categories are football, golf, woodball, basketball and cricket with all winners set to walk away with accolades and cash plaques.
Vipers new signing goalkeeper Alfred Mudekereza leads the footballers list after staging stellar performances which saw him help his side progress to the CAF champions League group stages.
He will have to beat competition from Arua Hill defender Rashid Toha and BUL FC’s Richard Wandyaka.
In basketball, City Oilers Francis Azolibe looks the favourite after helping his side to the eight NBL title but he will face more competition from Rose Akon of JKL and Deng Dikong of Nam Blazers.

The awarding ceremony for the winners will take place on Tuesday 1st November at Route 256 restaurant in Lugogo.
Each winner will take home a hefty prize cash courtesy of sponsors Forte Bet and Jude Colour solutions.
