The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) launcjed the inaugural Excellence Awards where they will award the outstanding performances and hardwork from atheletes and games teachers in USSSA organised competitions.
This was announced during the USSSA-USPA media engagement held at Kati Kati restaurant in Lugogo on Friday 1st December by the USSSA president Justus Mugisha.
The USSSA Exellence awards are expected to take place on December 15, 2023, at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala
Mugisha who praised the progress of midfielder Allan Oyirwoth a youngster at Amus College school after his brilliant performance in the secondary school games which saw him prevail through to the national team ranks, he noted that the excellence awards is one way of recognising such performances of the young atheletes.
“This one of the ways USSSA will recognize and promote the young athletes who excel during national and International school sports competitions.” Said the USSSA President Justus Mugisha.
The USSSA Excellence Awards will showcase excellence in various categories, honoring the pillars of school sports, including Coaches, Sports Teachers, Schools, Teams, and special acknowledgments for Fair Play.
