Uganda Boxing Champions League: Can Okello stop the Nkobeza dominance?

Week 16 in.the Uganda Boxing Champions League will see Gulu’s determined Okello Ronald try out his luck in stopping the domonace of Nkobeza Yusuf in the middle weight category.

Nkobeza has been so dominant in the middle weight (75kgs) from season one of the champions wich has seen him rise through the ranks to the Bombers team,  but this won’t be the case for Gulu’s Okello has all his eyes set on the title.

“Nkobeza is.a good boxer with powerful punches but i have now mastered all his weaknesses and this is a huge boost to me as i have been training hard to see that i take him down. My target is winning this years title.” Said Okello Ronald.

The Nakawa boxing club boxer has vowed not to dissapoint his fans tomorrow as he shares the ring with Okello with his target being the number one in the middle weight category.

“I have had enough preparations and ready for tomorrow’s action, all my fans should come and.enjoy the fight against Okello. I have had enough training ans right now i am ready and prepared.” Said Nkobeza.

“My number one target is to become number one in the middle weight category and a win against Okello, I will be just avwin away to achieving my target in the champions league.” He added.

Other fights of the day will include; -Geko Solomon from lukanga vs Kiseka Noordin from lukanga in super heavy weight (92kg)

– Wasswa Ssali from Lukanga vs Onen Jafar from East Coast in light weight ( 60kg) 

– Kololo’s Nabikolo Fatuma will be up against Najjemba Nadia from lukanga in bantam weight ( 54 kg) 

– Salimah Ibrahim from Mutajjazi Boxing Club will play against lukanga’s Akankunda Marion in bantam weight youth ( 54kg) among other fights 

The day will start with the finals of the 2023 Uganda Boxing Novince tournament.
