UPDF 1-1 Mbarara City FC
UPDF FC played out a 1-1 draw with Mbarara City in their tie played at Bombo Military Grounds on Monday 11th.
The first half was dull with both teams failing to break the deadlock.
In the 50th minute, Henry Kitegenyi gifted Mbarara City a deserved lead.
Few minutes later, Robert Eseru converted a beauty of a free kick to level matters.
In the 70th minute,Eseru could double the lead for the hosts but his rebounder went wide.
In the 74th minute, UPDF FC’S Captain Bernard Muwanga failed to seal the win when his header went inches wide.
Joseph Akandwanaho could also gift his side the winning goal only to fail to capitalize the one on one attempt in the closing minutes.
The results left Mbarara City FC on 12 points in 10th place while UPDF remained 14th with 9 points.
Action resumes today on Tuesday when KCCA FC will be taking on Soltilo Bright Stars.
