BetPawa Futsal Super League 2023/2024 season kicks off in mega boost from sponsors

The 2023/2024 BetPawa Futsal Super League was officially lauched as it kicked off on Thursday 23rd November at Old Kampala Futsal Arena with an extended boost from the sponsors of BetPawa.

The gaming company jas strengthened its relationship with the Futsal Association Uganda (FAU) as they launched an extended sponsorship packege of upto 128,805,000 Uganda Shillings besides the initial spornsorhip deal which was lauchend earlier last week.

The extended package covers the payment of the rental fees at Old Kampala Futsal Arena for the whole season, this also covers the renovation and branding of the Arena with also the provision of a dital score board which will be put up at the arena.

The BetPawa country marketing manager Ivy Nyonyozi Igundura spoke to the media as she confirmed that all the 12 clubs have recieved a pair set of jerseys ahead of the new season.

“Today in partnership with Futsal Association of Uganda, we have unveiled the Old Kampala Sports Arena which is newly renovated by us, as the sponsors of this league [Futsal Super League] and we have also paid the rental fees for FAU to be able to play in this Arena for one full season.” Ivy Nyonyozi Igunduura, Country Marketing manager of betPawa Uganda.

“We have also gave them digital clock and all the uniforms, the 12 clubs shall be using for a full season.” She added.

“Today we are happy that our partnership with betPawa had been unveiled to our clubs, they have given us jerseys, digital clock, they have paid the facility for us. We have been suffering with financial challenges, paying for us  the rental fees for the whole season is so great.” Said FAU CEO Mugerwa Ibrahim.

The 2023/2024 season has been branded as betPawa Futsal Super League and it has 12 clubs competing unlike last season where the league had just six teams because of the financial challenges the clubs had.

The locker room bonus has also increased compititiveness in the league as each player from the winning team of the match will be pocketing 150,000/- after the game.

Action between Edgars(green) and Aidenal(white)

The league kickedd off with three games on the night as Edgars Youth Programme defeated Aidenal 5-3, Kabowa Dream Team lost 3-2 to Futbol Club Luzira while KJT thumped newcomers Kawempe FC 6-1.
