Ronald Kigongo: Long Serving Player Leaves URA

Uganda Premier League side URA have confirmed the departure of Ronald Kigongo.

Kigongo has been a long serving player at the club having joined from Maroons back in 2014, then under coach Alex Isabirye.

He had renewed his contact back in 2020 for three years but has since struggled to command playing time.

During his stay, Kigongo who joined as a Striker, has played in almost most departments including defence.

This concluded season, Kigongo came off the bench and scored the winning goal in the first round against Arua Hill SC at Nakisunga Saza Ground.

And he finally leaves the Tax Collectors after nine years!

Said Kyeyune who also joined from Maroons, remains the longest serving player at URA.
