Diana Letaru: Ugandan Youngster Joins Grayson College

KIU Rangers forward Diana Letaru has joined Grayson College in the United States.

Letaru was part of Uganda’s National Basketball U18 Girls team, the Junior Gazelles that completed at Afrobasket U18 finals in Madagascar last year.

It’s a big move for Letaru who has put up impressive stats with KIU Rangers since joining from Magic Stormers this season.

In the NBL First Round, he averaged 15 points and 8 rebounds.

She joins another Ugandan Abby Priscilla who is also at Grayson College Vikings.

It’s strong to note that Gazelles forward Jane Asinde also joined to Grayson College back in 2019 from JKL Lady Dolphins.

Melissa Akullu (Vanguard University), Jamila Nansikombi (Troy University), Claire Lamunu, Esther Kwagala and Lydia Babirye are the other Ugandan Women players in the United States.
