Continental T20 Cup: Cricket Cranes off to Nairobi

The Cricket Cranes were on Tuesday flagged off to Nairobi, Kenya for the Continental Cup T20- Africa set to bowl off on Friday June 9 at the Gymkhana Cricket Ground.

Laurence Mahatlane and his team will be involved in a triple round robin that will consist of four nations including Botswana, Rwanda, Uganda and hosts Kenya.

Uganda has taken a 14-man squad that has two debutants in Siraje Nsubuga and Robinson Obuya. Dinesh Nakrani and Bilal Hassun are also back in the team having missed out on the Qatar tour in March.

The tournament initially was supposed to be a single round robin, but after both Nigeria and Tanzania pulling out, it will be played on a triple round basis.

Kenya against Rwanda get the event underway on Friday morning, but Uganda will take on Botswana in the afternoon.
