BIKA Football Tournament: Njovu outclass Nakinsige, round of 32 looms

The BIKA Football tournament matches resumed with a couple of games played at various playgrounds. At Wankulukuku Stadium, Njovu defected Nnyonyi Nakinsige by a 1-0 score to progress to the round of 32.

Kakembo Uthman scored in the first half of the game to win the game for Njovu in the hot afternoon weather as they  booked their slot in round of 32.

In the as one game played at Wankulukuku, Mazzi ga Kisasi scored a late equaliser to send the game into penalties after a 1-1 draw against Butiko in the 90 minutes.

Gabula Sudais scored the opening goal for Butiko in the second half of the game whereas Wilfred Mark Kabuusu netted in stoppage time to draw the scores level.

Mazzi ga Kisasi only lasted after full time as they were defeated in the penalties 4-3 but both teams stand a huge chance of progressing to the round of 32 with slots available for the best losing teams.

Elsewhere, Davis Kasirye scored for Nvuma as they eliminated Nkejje by a 1-0 score at Budo Secondary School playgrounds. Mbwa defeated Nnyonyi Nyange 2-0 to progress whereas Ndiisa fall to Nkiima by a 3-2 scoreline.

All the teams which have progressed form the preliminary round will be drawn alongside the 25 teams who are already on the round of 32 after receiving a bye from the preliminary round.

The round of 32 will be played in a knockout format as the 16 teams to progress will make up the four group stages.
