Federation of Uganda Basketball Association (FUBA) has revealed the squads for National 3×3 teams ahead of a busy 2023.
The upcoming tournaments:
•FIBA 3X3 U23/21 Nations League, 3-9 July in Kishasha
•World Beach Games, 6-12 August 2023 in Bali Indonesia
•U23 Nations League Finals,13-15 September in Mongolia
•FIBA 3X3 Africa Cup, December 2023 in Cairo Egypt
•FUBA 3X3 University Tour, June to September 2023
•FUBA 3X3 National Tour, August-October 2023
The squads consist of only local based players, who were selected mainly basing on their performances in the National Basketball League.
The trainings will start with Try out Tournaments starting this League break before the League resumes in a two weeks time.
The Squads:
*U23 Ladies – Nanvubya Shakira(UCU), Kamwadda Agatha (JKL), Aber Bridget (UCU), Namwenge Perus (KIU), Namugosa Tracey (UCU), Nabayunga Aziida (UCU), Longom Becky (UCU) and Amaniyo
Mary (KIU).
*Senior Women – Akello Hope(JKL), Nakiyinji Evelyne (JKL), Owor Leticia (JKL), Imanishimwe Ritah (JKL),
Ageno Sarah (JT), Amoding Maureen (JT), Lokamweri Zainah (JT) and Kirabo Sharon (KIU).
*U23 Men – Baale Fayed (City Oil), Dauna Rogers (UCU), Obleng Peter (KIU), Munaba Edgar (KIU), Okoth Henry (KIU), Kasobya Kevin (UCU), Lubwama Duncan (JT) and Muganzi Daniel (Watoto)
*Senior Men – Odeke Titus Lual (City Oil), Chuma Joseph (KIU), Drileba Tonny (City Oil), Muhwezi Ivan (City Oil), Ochera Innocent (KIU), Wanyoto Arthur (UPDF), Obleng Peter (KIU) and Ibanda Umaru
