Boxing President Moses Muhangi Granted Bail

Uganda Boxing Federation President Moses Muhangi has been granted bail.

The ‘Gong Master‘ was recently sent to Luzira on May 18 2023 on charges of forgery and uttering false document

Appearing in Nakawa Magistrate Court on Wednesday, Muhangi has been given a cash bail of Sh2m and each of the three sureties a non cash bail of Sh4m each.

He will be expected to return to court on July 20, 2023.

Boxers, Coaches and media among others flooded Nakawa court since morning to witness proceedings.

It’s strong to note that Uganda Netball Federation President Sarah Babirye Kityo also received bail after spending days in Luzira.

Both, Babirye and Muhangi, have sstated that they are being with-hunted by NCS.

Muhangi earlier appeared before the Public Accounts Committee on issues of Accountability of Government funds (NCS).

It’s there where Muhangi and the former UBF Accountant Lydia Namutebi where handed over to Police for forgery.

It’s said that the Federation presented a forged receipt of Sh3.5m.

Muhangi earlier called on First Lady and President Museveni to interest themselves into the ongoing matters with NCS.
