The 2022/23 FUFA Big League season will climax on Thursday with various games at different venues.
But all eyes will be on NEC FC and Police FC, who will be fighting for the remaining promotional slot on the last day.
Kitara FC and Mbarara City have already completed the job to join the UPL, and the battle will be against the other two on the last day.
NEC FC are in the third position with 54 points, a point above fourth placed Police FC.
It has been an impressive season for NEC FC, who are now on the verge of joining the top flight.
And on the last day, the Bugolobi based side will take a long visit to Kataka FC as they have sights on being promoted.
There will be no room to slip and all they need is victory to get the job done , and join the UPL on what will be their first time of asking.
In Kataka, they face a stubborn that has always been hurt many sides at their home in mbale, with even some games ending in un sporting ways.
But given the magnitude of the game, NEC will all go out for maximum points and that will all but guarantee their place in the UPL next season.
On the other hand, Police FC will have the same ambitions of returning to the top flight on the last day.
The Cops, heading into the last game are just a point below NEC FC with 53 points.
They picked a vital 1-0 win over Booma FC away from home in their latest game last week to keep up in the race.
And all they will need in their last game at home against Jinja North United will be maximum points, and also pray that their competitor NEC FC, drop points at Mbale.
