Islam Ssemakula: Lungujja Galaxy defender joins Romanian side

Ugandan defender Islam Ssemakula will join Romanian third division side Sportiv Orasenesc Retezatul Hateg from Kampala region side Lungujja Galaxy.

The defender will join the Romanian side in the upcoming January transfer windows on a two years Contract with and options to add one according to his performances.

Ssemakula began his career with kazo united that plays in kawempe region and later joined Lungujja Galaxy youth project in 2017 and he has been so influential with outstanding performances which caught the eye of the Romanians.

Ssemakula’s move to Romania’s side is influenced by former KCCA striker Umar Bulega and Bashir Lumala who have enough experience in Managing and Negotiating contracts for players for example to European countries with the likes of  Aziz kayondo and Erisa Ssekisambu.

They were also representatives of thebUganda Cranes Assistant coach Moses Basena when he joined Rwanda’s Side Sunrise as well as the former Vipers Tactician Javier Martinez.

Currently CSO Retezatul Hateg is in the 7th position in the Romania Liga III table after playing 15 games with 2 wins, 3 draws and 10 losses raising only 9 points
