Wakiso Giants will be all out to fight for maximum points as they host URA FC in the Startimes Uganda Premier league match at Kabaka Kyabagu Stadium in Wakiso.
The purple sharks target to extend their perfect start to a three successive wins having won their previous two games and the latest a 1-0 win a way from home, and a home 2-1 win against Blacks Power.
They are yet to lose a game at home with only Bright Stars who managed to pick a point in a goalless draw, coach John Luyinda Ayala is confident of picking maximum points against struggling URA FC.
“Winning is very important for the stability of the team and going into the URA match, we need that win,”
“We understand we are playing against a team with quality and experience but we feel ready to outcompete them,”
“It is our second home game and the target at home will be to always do everything to get all points,” said Coach Ayala.
URA FC have had a low start in the league winning just one game from the five they have played and their only win coming against struggling Busoga United in a 4-0 score.
They squandered out a 2 goals lead to settle for a point in their 2-2 draw with Bright Stars at home in their last League game.
The tax collectors have struggled with squad balancing despite having a huge number of better players, they welcome back defender Hudu Mulikyi from suspension, Derrick Ndahiro and Derrick Nsibambi all look set to feature against Wakiso.
Wakiso Giants welcome back Samson Kirya and Joshua Lubwama who were part of the Sand Cranes squad in Mozambique.
Ronald Madoi, Titus Ssematimba and Marvin Nyanzi miss out again due to national team engagements with the U-20.
