Startimes UPL: SC Villa not worthy for three points in Mbale.

Sunday 22nd results.

Mbale Heroes 1-0 SC Villa – Mbale Stadium.

Reigning champions of Startimes Uganda Premier League SC Villa ran short to new entrants Mbale Heroes on a 1-0 score at away (Mbale Stadium) in their second game of the season.

A little could separate the two teams in first half as both teams equaled energy.

However in the closing minutes, Mbale Heroes appeared superior with numerous attacks after a cheer up from their fans.

In the 86th minute, Mbale Heroes were awarded with a free kick which Cosia Waiswa converted to a near post beating Villa’s custodian Braddy Wokorach.

SC Villa could’ve equalized just minutes after though Peter Onziza didn’t convert his chance to target.

Mbale Heroes who lost their opening game to Express FC on a 2-1 score at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo will take this win as a motivation in other coming games as they will seek a stay in the Startimes Uganda Premier League after missing out the last 18 years.

Meanwhile SC Villa will take the loss as a lesson and will have to make revisions to correct what didn’t go well in their coming games.

SC Villa will next host BUL FC on Thursday 26th September at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

Meanwhile Mbale Heroes will be visiting Wakiso Giants at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium a day after.
