Startimes UPL: BUL FC, KCCA FC share spoils as URA FC picks up their first win against Soltilo Bright Stars.

Friday 20th, September results.

BUL FC 1-1 KCCA FC – Lugazi FC Stadium.

Soltilo Bright Stars 0-1 URA FC – Kavumba recreational grounds.

Mbarara City FC 0-0 Police FC – Kakyeka Stadium.

Maroons FC 2-3 Wakiso Giants – Prison Grounds, Luzira.

BUL FC has played out a 1-1 draw with KCCA FC at their new home Lugazi FC Stadium, Najemba.

None of the team could break the deadlock in first half as both teams looked to have equaled energy.

Jerome Kiirya could break the deadlock first for BUL FC in the 14th minute with his strike getting inches close.

Hillary Onek came close in the 32nd minute for BUL FC but KCCA FC custodian Mugolofa was equal to the challenge.

KCCA FC had their classy attempt coming in the 46th minute just into the second half with Katenga and Mubezi striking but BUL FC custodian Joel Mutakubwa was brilliant for a double save.

In the 60th minute, Second half substitute Ashraf Mugume scored for the visitors.

Kiirya Jerome levelled matters 14 minutes later after a very hard work.

This was the second consecutive draw for BUL FC after playing goalless in their first encounter against Police FC.

KCCA FC will face Kitara FC as their next opponent while BUL FC will have to face a strong opposition from reigning champions SC Villa in their next encounter.

In other game played at Kavumba recreational grounds, URA FC picked up their first win of the season defeating Soltilo Bright Stars on a1-0 score.

Ivan Ahimbisibwe scored the lonely goal for the tax collectors towards the end of first half and the team was able to defend for maximum points.

URA FC who lost their opening game to KCCA FC needed to win to regain momentum in the young season.

Soltilo Bright Stars played out a 1-1 draw with Wakiso Giants in their opening game too and such a result looks to be frustrating giving them lessons to go in the third motivated for maximum points.

At Luzira Prison Grounds, Wakiso Giants picked up their first win in season of a 3-2 against Maroons FC.

Wakiso Giants started the better side scoring two in half time through Marvin Oshaba and Herbert Asiimwe.

Baden Mujaheed puled one for Maroons in second half before Samuel Nsubuga scored the third for Wakiso Giants.

Baden scored the second for Maroons though wasn’t enough to earn the side a point.

At Kakyeka Stadium, Mbarara city FC has played out a goalless draw with Police FC.

Action resumes on Sunday as Mbale Heroes will be welcoming SC Villa at Mbale City Stadium.
