Jocelyn Uchanda has been awarded the lifetime achievement award at the Fortebet Real Star Monthly Awards as excelling athletes for the month of August being awarded.
The lifetime achievement award comes out for the first time as Real Star sports agency alongside Jude Colour solutions recognize the works Uchanda has done in Uganda’s sports sector through the growth of Netball in the country.
“At this moment, I didn’t expect an award, I thought I was been invited to award other people but now I am winning a real Lifetime award, it’s an ultimate for me. I didn’t count myself as among those being selected but I really appreciate and value this so much, it came at a moment I didn’t expect it. So I really thank you Mr. Isaac Mukasa and sponsors of this award.” said Uchanda after receiving the award.
Jocelyn Uchanda is an aspiring candidate for the Uganda Netball Federation presidential seat.
The athletes crowned for the month of August are Babirye Lydia in basketball, John Sserunjogi in Boxing with Ssenyonjo Julius a masaza player for Ssingo winning the football accolade.
