Vipers’ Luyima sends it wide in penalties as BUL register second FUFA SUPER 8 title.

The FUFA SUPER 8 tournament reached climax on Sunday evening at MTN Omondi Stadium where BUL defeated Vipers SC in penalties 6-5 after a goalless draw to emerge winners.

In a do or die game where both teams expressed their desireness to win the title, intenseness, pysicality were expressed.

Breaking the deadlock became a real problem to both sides as they lacked magical players who could decide in the moments.

Both teams had some good chances but none converted, Kenneth Kimera, Milton Karisa, Sukuyu, Wadada all came close for Vipers.

Full time ending goalless saw the game stretching to extra time though none proved the winner leaving penalties to be the final decider.

BUL FC scored all their 6 penalties though Vipers’ Luyima sent his wide to gift BUL FC the second consecutive title.

BUL FC become the most decorated team with two titles now, Vipers will hope for next season to add on the one they have.

On the same venue, in the third place finish, Uganda Cranes select defeated Kitara FC on a 2-0 score.

Mbarara city FC’s foward Henry Kitegenyi scored a brace.

Uganda Cranes select finished third, while Kitara FC fourth.
