North African giants Morocco walked away with the bronze medal after humiliating fellows Egypt on a 6-0 score in the ongoing Olympics games in men’s football.
In a game played at Stade de la Beaujoire in Nantes city, Morocco appeared the better side right from the start and Egypt couldn’t match them.
Abde Ezzalzouli opened the score for Morocco in the 23rd minute with a lovely strike after being set well by Zakaria.
Soufiane Rahimi doubled the lead three minutes later before El Khannous scored the third in the 51st minute.
Soufiane Rahimi completed his brace in the 64th minute before other two goals scored by Nakach and Achraf Hakimi.
Morocco came into the game after suffering a 2-1 defeat against Spain in the semifinal and a bronze medal feels okay to go with back home.
Egypt who lost to France on a 3-1 score in extra time finished fourth.
The final between Spain and France will be played on Friday 9th August 2024.
