FUFA SUPER 8: Ssemugabi, Omedi shines to send Kitara past KCCA FC to Semis, Vipers helped by away goal margin.

KCCA FC 3-3 Kitara FC (3-4) Aggregate score.

NEC FC 1-1 Vipers SC (1-1) Aggregate score.

Kitara FC, Vipers SC reached Semi finals on the ongoing FUFA SUPER 8 tournament when they overcame they rivals KCCA FC and NEC FC respectively.

In a more interesting game played at night at MTN Omondi Stadium, Kitara FC drew with KCCA FC on a 3-3 score and the Royals had to progress through because of the first leg advantage they had won on a 1-0 score.

Denis Omedi as well Jude Ssemugabi put up an outstanding performance and were a joy to watch Infront of their fans.

KCCA FC ‘s midifielder Joel Serunjoji opened the score in the 9th minute with a lovely strike after being set well by Saidi Mayanja.

Seconds later, Denis Omedi levelled matters for the royals with a rabona kick an aurgbly the best goal of the tournament.

With 9 minutes to half time, Jude Ssemugabi netted the second for the royals after being set well by Denis Omedi.

With half time getting finalized, KCCA were awarded with a penalty after Etienne Katenga was put down by Ronald Otti, Anukani stood in for the responsibility and levelled matters.

Three minutes into the second half, Jude Ssemugabi scored the third for the royals before Muhamood levelling for KCCA FC on the 53rd minute.

Vipers too reached Semifinals after a scoring draw of 1-1 against NEC FC.

The first game ended goalless and so any scoring draw could guarantee the Entebbe giants a Semifinal seat.

Captain Milton Karisa scored for Vipers in the closing minutes of half time.

NEC got the equaliser in the 88th minute through Dickson Niwamanya after a strong fight in the second half.

The results meant Vipers will take on the winner between SC Villa and Uganda Cranes Select.

Kitara FC will take on the winner between Maroons FC and BUL FC who are playing today.
