Kayima Cup: Mutuba I Mpigi crowned double champions

Mutuba I Mpigi were crowned champions in both football and netball as Kayima Cup climaxed at Mpigi Police grounds.

In netball Mutuba I Mpigi defeated Ssabagabo Muduma 36-32 to win the Kayima Cup netball for the third consecutive year.

Bashir Nsubuga and Vincent Makubuya scored for Mutuba I Mpigi and Musaale Buwama respectively in the normal play as both sides played to a full-time draw in football

Mutuba I Mpigi that had to play the last ten minutes with one man less after the send off of Reagan Katende won 5-4 in penalty shoot outs.

Kayima Gabriel Kabonge highlighted on Mawokota’s plan to construct a Stadium,

“Mawokota has already secured ten acres of land in Buwama next is constructing a perimeter fence hopefully before the kick off of the upcoming Masaza Cup tournament.”

Lumaama Cup will have both football and netball finals tomorrow Sunday 31st.
