Masaza Cup: Busiro, Ssingo win on road to claim first leg advantage

The Buganda Masaza cup returned with quarterfinals on several grounds as Busiro fand Ssingo fought hard to win away from home.

Busiro claimed a narrow 2-1 victory away from home against Gomba. Goals from Isaac Ofoyirwoth and Yuda Dumba were enough to earn Busiro victory.

Raymond Othieno scored the only goal for Gomba as they head into the second leg game on the back foot with a 2-1 loss.

Gomba will travel to away from home to face Busiro in the return leg.

Ssingo were also claimed a huge victory away from home as they defeated Kyaggwe by a 1-0 score coutsey of a goal from Joseph Ssewali.

The 2021 Masaza cup holders Buddu claimed a 1-0 victory against Mawokota at Masaka recreation grounds in the Masaka road Derby to inch a step closer to qualifying for the semis.

Bruno Bunyaga was yet again called to the rescue as he scored the only goal that earned Buddu victory in the first leg match.

Bulemeezi on the other hand also won their first leg match at home with a 1-0 score against Buwekula with a goal from Ronald Kaye.

The second leg matches will be played on the 25th September and winners on aggregated score will progress to the Semifinals.
