What ANGELO SCHRINZI adds to the SAND CRANES?

Swiss International ANGELO SCHRINZI was on Friday Morning unveiled as the new Head Coach for Uganda National Beach Soccer Team ,the Sand Cranes.

The Process was after the FUFA Executive Committee approved a proposal to reinforce the Sand Cranes Technical team in preparations for the COSAFA Beach Soccer Championship in SouthAfrica and the 2022 AFCON Beach Soccer Finals in Mozambique.

During his Unveiling,FUFA President Moses Magogo asserted the need to invest if Uganda is to compete at international stage,but could this move be the right step?

Angelo Schrinzi,a father to four was born on 5th November 1972 in Basel is a former Player and Coach for Switzerland National Beach Soccer Team.

The German-French Speaker holds a UEFA PRO LICENSE,which he achieved in 2011.

Schrinzi who has served the game in all capacities from being a Children’s Football Instructor in 1999 brings vast experience to a side that needs it more at international level.


He also wrote a book about beach soccer on behalf of FIFA and helped in it’s implementation in countries like Iran,Ivory coast and Mauritius.

If winning is to go by,Angelo who has guided Switzerland to Four FIFA Beach Soccer WorldCup Tournaments,won the European Championship in 2005 and European Beach Soccer League Title in 2012 is the man to steer the Thirsty Sand Cranes Project.

To a game decided by goals, Schrinzi could be one to refer to as he records 150goals from 213 professional matches in his playing career at clubs Fc Nordstern,Reihen,Solothurn among others.


The BUMBUMBEACH Sports Agency Founder records a personal 38 accolades at national level as a coach player.

Schrinzi’s task is to first heal Ugandan hopes of unwanting foreign blood, mentioning the 2017 Kwesi Fabians’ appointment at the Under 17 side.
