Ibrahim Wammanah Completes Move To URA

Ibrahim Wammanah has joined URA from UPDF, the club has confirmed.

The combative midfielder has signed a two-years contract that will see him stay at the Nakawa-based club until atleast 2025.

Upon being unveiled as the latest Tax Collector, Wammanah termed the move as ‘a big one to a big club’ that he just couldn’t resist.

“It’s a big privilege to join URA FC because it’s a big team and when such opportunity comes you have to take it up,” Wammanah remarked.

“It’s a very big move to me in my career because it will help me as a player to develop. I want to help the club win silverware in my first season and compete which I am sure with the quality of players around we shall realise it.”

URA awcknowlegded that the versatile midfielder’s mobility, combativeness, composure, passing intelligence and ability to cover huge distance on the field of play are some of the attributes that attracted them to sign him.

The former UPDF captain has also previously played for Proline FC and KCCA FC, amounting to over five years of Premier League football, since 2016.

Wammanah now becomes the sixth new addition at the club following teenagers Kisiriko Denis Luzige, Kisolo John Innocent, Amis Bwangani and Godfrey Sekibengo as well as the versatile Aliro Moses Okabo.
