Andrew Odong: Booma FC Appoints New CEO

FUFA Big League side Booma FC has appointed Andrew Odong as their new CEO ahead of the upcoming season.

Odong joins the Masindi based side on a three years contract and he replaces Kaahwa Martin, who is now working as a General Manager of the club.

He comes with vast experience having previously worked at this stage with Kabale Sharp and when even when the side rebranded to
Kigezi Homeboyz FC.

“It feels really good to have joined Booma Football Club, one of the model clubs in Bunyoro,” Odong told The-SportsNation.

“The team’s main objective is to gain promotion to the Uganda Premier League and to achieve that, there are things that are done in the background by the background staff headed by the fulltime CEO.”

Odong’s addition is a big boost to Booma, who will be aiming for UPL promotion in the upcoming 2023/24 Big League season.

The club recently unveiled Mark Twinamasiko as their new head coach next season.

Booma finished 7th last season with 40 points, to keep their place in the FUFA Big League.

And the addition of Odong, together with Twinamasiko, is all intended to help the club compete favourably as they seek UPL promotion next season.

Odong has also worked as CEO at
Old Kampala FC (Kampala Central DFA), SC Lamancia (Kampala Region) and also served as a Competitions Director of Kampala Central District Football Association
