•Gazelles Vs Team Select, 6pm (Lugogo)

Sarah Ageno has been listed on Team Select roster that is set to face Gazelles in a practice match at Lugogo.

Ageno is one of the players who did not make the Gazelles final roster for the 2023 Women’s Afrobasket later this month in Kigali.

And on Thursday, Ageno who is averaging 14 points and 12 rebounds with JT Lady Jaguars in the League, may come with a point to prove.

The Team Select’s Roster is still faint and pending approval, but The-SportsNation sources have it that it will be coached by JT Ladies coach Suudi Ulanga.

JT, who are leading the League with 15-3 record, has four players on the roster including Zainah Lokwameri, Maureen Amoding and Rhoda Naggita.

KCCA Leopards’ leading points scorer Martha Soigi who is averaging 13 points and 10 rebounds in the League, is also on the roster.

With KIU Rangers and UCU Lady Canons facing off on Friday, it remains to be seen if their players will be cleared to play in Thursday’s Friendly match.

UCU players on the Select team are Shakira Nanvubya and Bridget Aber who also did not make the Gazelles final roster.

The KIU Rangers players on the initial roster include Rose Amaniyo, Sharon Kirabo, Perus Nyamwenge and Diana Letaru.

For the Gazelles team, Jane Asinde jetted in late Wednesday night and will be in the Practice Match.

And the same can be said of Jannon Otto who has been with the team this week.

The Gazelles will have 11 players, with Claire Lamunu yet to fly into the Country.
