KCCA Want to compete, Be the Best in Africa – CEO Anisha

KCCA FC CEO Anisha Muhoozi says that their aim is to compete and be the best club in Africa starting next season.

Muhoozi made the remarks while appearing on NBS Sports TV show pressbox on Monday.

KCCA has been one of the busiest clubs in the ongoing transfer market, landing four new foreign players.

Among the new signings include two Brazilians Vinicius Silva and Joao Gabriel, and two Angolans Carlos Da Silva Cungulo and Aires Emilson Gonzaga.

“The intention is very clear, we want to compete. We have always been clear, competition and being the best,” Anisha Muhoozi said.

“Our vision is to be the best in Africa. And by doing so you start by winning everything that is available to be won, that is the energy and drive Lugogo is moving to.”

For the first time in recent times, KCCA will be having a breed of both Brazilians and Angolans come next season.

And to many, these signings are new to Uganda Premier League that is mostly dominated by locally based players.

When asked about the criteria used to bring these players, Muhoozi said that they made enough analysis on the players.

“These are players we have done analysis on as a club, the technical team and the coach has a very big hand he has played,” Muhoozi added.

KCCA FC has already started their pre-season training under new Portuguese Manager Sergio Daniel Traguil.

They have also let go of nine players including midfielder Allan Okello, Denis Iguma, Geoffrey Wasswa among others as they seek to rebuild their team.

And they will be looking forward to ending their title drought that has seen them go four consecutive seasons without any trophy.
