KCCA FC Promotes Three More Players To Senior Team

Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC has continued to beef up their squad ahead of the 2023/24 season.

KCCA has elevated three youngsters to their senior team – Alex Yiga, Abubakar Mayanja and Anthony Emojong.

Yiga is an attacking midfielder who joined the team in 2022/23 season – He was part of the KCCA team that won the Cambiasso Tournament in Dar Es Salaam last year.

Yiga won bronze at 2022 CECAFA U17 in Ethiopia and in January 2023 got an invite for Football Assessment programs in Scotland and England.

Abubakar Mayanja is a Striker who joined KCCA last year and was also part of the team that won the Cambiasso tournament in Tanzania where he scored the winning goal against Azam in the final.

Emojong on the other hand is a goalkeeper who has been at the club since 2016. He was loaned to Lugazi this year in FUFA Big League where he kept seven clean sheets in the 16 games he played.

KCCA FC has now promoted five players to the senior team this season including goalkeeper Juma Mutebi.

The other is John Paul Dembe who has since been loaned to Sweden at BK Hacken.

The Club has confirmed four new signings – Two Brazilians Vinicius Silva and Joao Gabriel.

The other are two Angolans Carlos Da Silva Cungulo and Aires Emilson Gonzaga.

KCCA FC has released nine players – Brian Aheebwa, Kayanja and Majwega, Allan Okello, Mustafa Kizzaz Benjamin Ochan, Geoffrey Wasswa, Ali Mwirusi and Denis Iguma.
