Carlos Da Silva Cungulo: Angolan Becomes KCCA Fourth Signing

Uganda Premier League giants KCCA FC has unveiled Angolan Carlos Da Silva Cungulo as their fourth new signing.

He was unveiled on Sunday after inking a two-year contract that will see him stay at the club until 2025.

He is the second Angolan to join for KCCA FC in this transfer window after the club unveiled Aires Emilson Gonzaga.

The holding midfielder joins Lugogo after stints in Angola with Club 1 De Agosto, C.R.D. Libolo, Progresso and GD Interclube all in Angola.

He also played for Mirbat SC in Oman.

“I am thrilled to be in Uganda and to be a part of KCCA FC. I’m happy for the opportunity and want to make a constructive contribution to the Ugandan football landscape,” Cungulo told the Club.

“I believe I can contribute so much to this team. I can not wait for the games to start. I am excited to see the fans fill the stadium when the competitions start.

He becomes the fourth signing for the Club that also unveiled two Brazilians – Vinicius Silva and Joao Gabriel.

The Club also brought in young goalkeeper and Former Kibuli Secondary School player Juma Mutebi on a five years contract until 2028.

Youngster James Mubezi was handed a senior team also until 2028.

Another youngster John Paul Dembe who recently featured for Uganda Hippos at AFCON U20, was promoted from the KCCA FC reserve side to the senior team and has been loaned out to Swedish side BK Hacken.

The Club has let go of nine players including Brian Aheebwa, Kayanja and Majwega.

The other released players are Allan Okello, Mustafa Kizzaz Benjamin Ochan, Geoffrey Wasswa, Ali Mwirusi and Denis Iguma.
