Mustafa Kizza Leaves KCCA Again

Left back Mustafa Kizza has penned an emotional farewell message to his boyhood club KCCA.

Kizza made his departure official via a written statement on his official social media handles on Friday.

He had rejoined KCCA earlier this year, making his second stint at the club.

“As I bid farewell (again) to my boyhood club, I am also filled with gratitude for giving me the opportunity to play again. It was a tough season, Kizza wrote on his socials.

He leaves the Lugogo based side just after six months ever since rejoining the club.

Unlike his first stint where he achieved a lot at the club, Kizza failed to make his return count as he was affected by injuries, and his low fitness levels.

“Injuries didn’t help either. There are some things I wish we did better, but that’s life. I am always proud to represent the Cityzens and to do my best whenever given the chance. Now I have to move on . But with gratitude in my heart”

Given his success in the club in the past, Kizza had won many heart of KCCA faithfull at Lugogo.

And the left back spared some kind words to all the fans.

“Thanks to all the fans for support during the good and bad times. I wish you the best of luck for the season and always. “

Before rejoining KCCA, Kizza had featured for Portuguese side Arouca FC, before leaving them last year in December.

Back then, he also played for MLS Montreal Impact, a side he had joined in 2020 from KCCA FC.

Kizza is a KCCA academy graduate and he achieved a lot at KCCA, including taking the team to the CAF champions League group stages, with then head coach Mike Mutebi

He now joins a couple of players that are said to be leaving the Lugogo based club.

Left back Brian Majwega confirmed his departure on Friday, while Allan Okello, goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan, Geoffrey Wasswa are all on their way out .
