Six players will not be at Mbarara City FC this coming season after helping the side to Uganda Premier League promotion, a source has told The-SportsNation.

The departure list include lanky Jude Ssemugabi who is set to leave the club for greener pastures after expiry of his contract.

Ssemugabi is said to have agreed terms with newly promoted Kitara.

The former Booma and Ssingo (Masaza Cup) player, joined the Ankole Lions back in 2018 before renewing his contract for two years in 2021.

Tusaba Najib and goalkeeper Mugolofa Mutwaliba are expected to return to their respective clubs – SC Villa and Vipers – after end of their loan spells.

The Ankole Lions who recently unveiled coach Wasswa Bbosa, have agreed terms with Joseph Akandwanaho who will be signing a two-year contract.
