Wanderers Cricket Club climbed up to second in Group B following their double header win over Patidar in the National T20 League on Sunday.

The side found little resistance in dispatching Patidar, winning the morning game by 3 wickets before a staggering 101 run win in the afternoon.

Former Cricket Cranes captain, Wanderers captain Davis Karashani solely took care of Patidar as he claimed four wickets in the first game.

Abu Seguya (27) and Ivan Kakande (16) scored the most runs for Wanderers who tracked down Patidar’s 90 with a couple of balls to spare.

In the afternoon game, Kakande emulated his captain. The former Soroti Cricket Academy coach was the lead wicket taker in this one, turning up with four.

That was after Jonathan Afunaaduula (38), Sadam Oyaga (34), Seguya (28) and Geoffrey Gandi (21 not out) had put the score beyond their opponents reach – at 139.

Patidar managed to get only 38 in their chase before they were bowled out in the 13th Over. In this game, not a Patidar player registered a double digit.

Karashani did not include himself in the bowling lineup in this one, but each of Wanderers bowlers turned up resourceful. Arnold Tembo had two wickets to his name while Gandi and Peter Tusiime each had one.

Patidar remain rooted to the bottom of the Group with no win thus far. Wanderers climb second but are just two points ahead of Nyakasura who have played two games less.
