T20 League: Wanderers Target Patidar Scalp

Wanderers Cricket Club will take on bottom placed Patidar at the Green Oval in Entebbe on Sunday looking to climb up to second in their group in the National T20 League.

Wanderers lost three of their opening four games. The side lost their season opener to Avengers before losing twice to Group B leaders Challengers, but they have an opportunity to return to winning ways as they take on Patidar who are yet to taste victory this term.

After losing their opener to Avengers by 71 runs at the start of April, they were able to pay that same opponent in the same currency, beating them by 4 wickets.

As they take on Patidar who have lost all their first four games, Wanderers will fancy their chances to add to that victory as they seek to dislodge Nyakasura from the second position.

The current group standings sees Wanderers placed fourth below both Avengers (3rd) and Nyakasura (2nd), but with the two sides out of action this weekend, Davis Karashani and his teammates can rise up to second with victory.

Challengers lead this group with maximum points having won all their opening six games.

This game is the only match in Div 1 this weekend, but Div 2 has two fixtures to offer. Premier Cricket Club will face Soroti City at the Lugogo Cricket Oval while JACC will meet Aziz Damani Ismaili at the Jinja SS Cricket Oval. Like the Entebbe encounter, both games will be played on Sunday.
