Preview: Eyes on Alex Isabirye as Title chasing Vipers visit struggling BUL FC

There will be no room for error as Vipers visit struggling side BUL FC in a league game at Njeru.

The Venoms, who are on top with 49 points have no time to slip -up with just two games to climax the season.

And all eyes will be on their head coach Alex Isabirye, who will be facing his former pay masters .

Isabirye joined the Kitende based side this year, crossing from BUL, a side he had spent close to two and half years.

During his time at Bul, he had helped them win their first ever title the Uganda Cup and also helped the club compete favourably in the top flight.

On his return, he comes back a happy man, with his new side on top of the log with just two games to go.

And Isabirye will be hoping for nothing but maximum points against his former side so as to get closer to the league title.

They come into this game having picked a comfortable 5-2 win over Express and also cruised past Bright Stars (4-0) in the Uganda Cup Semi final first leg over the weekend.

Against BUL, they face a side that literally has nothing to play for on paper, add on their poor run and Vipers will hope to bank on that to get the needed result at Njeru.

On the other hand, the hosts will be hoping to end their winless streak against a flying Vipers side.

The Eastern Giants have endured a poor run ever since the departure of Alex Isabirye in march this year.

Under Simeon Masaba, Isabirye’s successor, they are winless in 12 game!

And that poor run has seen them drop to the ninth position with 34 points.

Their latest game was a 1-0 defeat to KCCA FC at Lugogo last week.

But despite that poor run, their assistant coach Dan Kabbale they want to spoil Vipers party at Njeru.

“Vipers is a big team that is even fighting for the trophy but we don’t want to know, we only want to win the game,” he said.

“BUL is improving every day as a team, and we expect to put up the best performance such that we can get the result we want, he told the club’s media on Monday”

Against Vipers, another big test awaits them against a team that has all their sights on the big prize.

Stats
BUL are currently in the 9th position with only 34 points collected from 26 games.

Vipers are on top with 49 points after 26 games.
