Kampala Rockets eased past Ndejje University Angels in a dominant performance in the National Basketball League.

Kampala Rockets who led from the word go, were up 15-07 in the first quarter and never looked back until the final buzzer.

Emmanuel Okumu, formerly at City Oilers, scored a game high 15 points while Simon Ola added 12 points for Kampala Rockets.

Joseph Kumbai and Haron Alinaitwe contributed 12 and 11 points respectively, the former adding 19 rebounds, for the Angels.

Ndejje shot an ugly 18-of-83, including missing 31 of their 38 shots from three, on an evening they would want to forget easily.

They turned over the ball 31 times, in comparison to Rockets’ 24.

This, is win number three for the newcomers who had earlier beaten Power and Rezlife.

Kampala Rockets will face City Oilers on May 28 in their last game of the First Round.

For John Omondi’s Angels, it’s their sixth loss in nine games.
