Nam Blazers Seek To Make Amends Against UPDF

Friday, May 19 (Lugogo)
•KCCA Vs Magic Stormers, 7pm
•UPDF Vs Nam Blazers, 9pm

Nam Blazers will be hoping to return to winning ways when they face off with UPDF Tomahawks at Lugogo in the National Basketball League.

The Blazers come into this game for the first time since losing 69-74 to KIU Titans.

And they will hope to make a couple of corrections as they seek to collect maximum points.

Losing to KIU may not have created an alarm, but the Blazers felt they could have done better on the night.

They managed just six points in the second quarter, and collected zero points from their bench against KIU’s 34, and that was all but the difference.

Richard Ongom, Chuol Nyuot and Nasser Guddi failed to get off the mark while the whole team shot an ugly 4-of-21 from three.

The loss against KIU was their third this season having fallen to City Oilers and UCU Canons (overtime).

Starters Paul Odongo, Chris Omanye, Geoffrey Soro, Peter Cheng and Mike Makiadi will have to double their efforts if the Blazers are to avoid UPDF scare.

It’s strong to note that UPDF beat Nam Blazers 73-67 last season in the first round, before losing 52-64 in the second round.

UPDF come into this fixture on the back of a three-game losing streak, falling to Our Saviour, Ndejje Angels and Rezlife Saints.
