Amus College booked a place in the Quarterfinals of the ongoing National Schools Football Championships with a 2-1 victory over Mukono Kings.
Bran Toto and Alvin Ssekamatte scored the goals to send Amus through.
Sula Miiro’s penalty in the second stanza proved not enough for the Mukono side.
The victory means that Amus will meet Kibuli in the last Quarterfinal game on Thursday.
Kibuli eliminated Nkoma SS thanks to a 4-1 victory to reach the Quarters.
Defending champions St Mary’s Kitende eased past Bishop Negri with a 6-0 scoreline to set up a quarterfinal matchup with Neighbours Standard High School Zana.
Standard High needed shootouts to overcome Kawempe.
Buddo who beat Kigumba 3-0, will face off with Royal Giants Mityana who eliminated Jinja Progress via shootouts.
St Henry’s College Kitovu face off with West Ville in the first quarterfinal – They eliminated London College Nansana and St Joseph Layibi respectively.
