Buddu Ssaza have acquired Coach Simon Peter Mugerwa as their new head coach ahead of the upcoming 2023 Masaza Cup tournament.
Mugerwa joins from defending champions Busiro, a side he helped win their maiden trophy last year when they beat Buddu at Wankulukuku.
It is a big move for Buddu who are seeking a strong return in this year’s tournament.
In Mugerwa, they have signed an experienced coach, who has won the prestigious Masaza Cup competition with two sides.
Before Winning it last year for Busiro, Mugerwa had won the title way back in 2019, while still at Bulemeezi.
In the recent draws held earlier this month, Buddu were dipped in the Masengere group alongside Buweekula, Kyaggwe, Buluuli and Kkooki.
And Mugerwa, given his experience will be seeking to assemble a better team at his new home Buddu.
Currently, Mugerwa has been handling regional side Proline FC, a side he joined last year.
He is also known for grooming young talents, all the way from his school Buddo SS, a giant school in Ugandan football.
