Kampala Queens Complete Signing of Fazila Ikwaput

Kampala Queens have completed the signing of Crested Cranes Striker Fazila Ikwaput on a two year’s deal.

The new developments were made official by the club on thursday morning via all the club’s social media handles.

“Kampala Queens FC is proud to confirm the signing of striker Fazila Ikwaput from Omonia WFC (Cyprus) on a two year contract deal, reads a statement from the Club”

It is a big move for Kampala Queens, who were competing with top sides like Tanzanian giants Simba Queens for Fazila’s signature.

And Fazila, returns to Uganda just after seven months ever since joining Cyprus side Omonia WFC last year in August.

And during her short spell at the Cyprus side, Fazila put up stellar performances, scoring 15 leagues goals and provided 9 assists that attracted a number of Clubs in Europe and here in East Africa.

Among the possible suitors was Simba Queens in Tanzania, but the Crested Cranes Striker opted for her home side and reigning FUFA Women Super League champions Kampala Queens.

And her arrival is a big boost to the Queens of soccer, who will competing in the Cecafa CAF Women’s champions zonal qualifiers that are set for June this year here in Uganda.

She will be expected to add competition to Kampala Queens attacking line, that has Resty Nanziri and Hassifa Nassuna.

Before her move to Cyprus, Fazila was a key player at masindi based side Lady Doves, netting 36 goals in 34 games per club stats.

She is most remembered for leading Lady doves to the 2021-2022 Women’s super league title where she scored eight goals in that season.
