Ndejje University Out To Snap Losing Streak

Wednesday, April 26

•Ndejje University Vs JKL Dolphins, 8:30pm

Ndejje University Angels will be hoping to arrest their poor form when they take on JKL Dolphins at Lugogo in the National Basketball League.

Ndejje had a brilliant start to this ongoing campaign after their two opening games against KCCA Panthers and UCU Canons.

But have since lost four games in a row with defeats coming against Power, KIU Titans, Rezlife Saints and City Oilers.

And Coach John ‘Mapeesa’ Omondi will feel that Wednesday provides a good chance to make amends.

One of Ndejje’s biggest undoing is their recklessness with the ball as they average 25 turnovers per game.

And the inconsistency of their reliable players including the lanky Joseph Kumbai and pint-sized guard Haron Alinaitwe.

Jonathan Oketch and James Obrack have stepped up and been counted, but they will need a good supporting cast if Ndejje are to pick a positive result.

JKL on the other hand, have blow hot and cold, and have won two in six games this season.

Their victories have come against Kampala Rockets and Our Saviour, and they will be hoping to improve on their tally come Wednesday.

Denis Tom Omara (15) and Bienfait Lola (13) who averaging double digits in scoring, will carry the team’s hope.

Last season, the sides split their two meetings in regular season – Ndejje won the first round fixture 80-53 while JKL won the other meeting 77-70.
