City Oilers eased past Our Saviour to collect their eighth win in as many games in the National Basketball League.
Despite missing injured guard Fayed Bbaale, the Oilers won 88-51 at Lugogo in a yet another dominating display.
They led 18-15 after the first quarter, but it’s only the closest they were in Our Saviour’s sight.
And Mande Juruni’s side won the second quarter 24-14 to open a 23-point gap and create clear day light before winning by 37 points.
Luak Ruai (19), Titus Lual (17), Michael Ngut (14), Jimmy Enabu (10) scored in double digits for Oilers who also eased past UCU on Good Friday.
Henry Ssebagala and Malual Dier had 13 and 11 points respectively for Our Saviour who suffered their third loss in four games.
With less resistance, City Oilers have literally used the league marathon as preparation for their debut season in Basketball Africa League (The BAL).
The game against Our Saviour at Lugogo was watched by Germaine Roebuck Junior and Ngor Barnaba who jetted into the Country to join the side into BAL preparations.
Two more foreign-based stars are expected to join the Oilers who leave on Saturday after Friday’s encounter with Nam Blazers.
The side is pitted in the Nile Conference that will take place in Cairo due April 26 – May 27.
Nile Conference also has Al Ahly (Egypt), Cape Town Tigers (South Africa), Petro De Luanda (Angola), CFV Beira (Mozambique) and SLAC (Guinea).
The top four teams from this conference will join the top four from Sahara Conference for the BAL Playoffs and Finals, which will feature a single-elimination tournament at BK Arena in Kigali from May 21-27.
The Oilers qualified for the Basketball Africa League (BAL) after beating Urunani in the Third-Place playoff game in Elite 16 Division East Group F at the Ellis Park Arena in Johannesburg on Sunday last year in November.
