Uganda Cranes catalyze Tanzanian coach’s being fired

Tanzania’s Taifa Stars have sacked their manager Kim Poulsen as the head coach following the 1-0 defeat to Uganda Cranes in the CHAN qualifiers first leg.

A goal by SC Villa’s Travis Mutyaba saw Uganda head back with a huge advantage over their East African neighbors.

The Tanzanian Football Federation consequently released a statement confirming the sacking of Kim Poulsen.

He was there and then replaced with Honour Janza a Zambian national who is also a CAF instructor to be the caretaker.

Janza coached the Zambian National Team between 2014-2015. He was at the helm as Kipolopolo played at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

He will also be assisted by Mecky Maxime while former Tanzania shot stopper Juma Kaseja will be the goalkeeping coach.

Janza and his team will be hoping to overturn the first leg deficit suffered at the hands of the Cranes when they visit the Cranes at the St Mary’s stadium in Kitende on 3rd September 2022.
