Ugandan coach Hussein Mbalangu was recently showed the exit door by Somalian side Mogadishu City FC.
Mbalangu had spent just 4 months at the club before being fired. However, a run of dismal results show the club’s administration decided to send him packing his bags back to Uganda.
“The management of the club had an emergency meeting about the downfall of the club,” Mogadishu said in a statement.
“The administration sat after consecutive defeats and has questioned the cause of the situation. Finally, the administration agreed on August 23 to end the first coach Hussein Mbalangu’s contract at the club.”
It should be recalled that Mbalangu was hired as the club’s coach in April this year.
However, of the 5 games his side had so far played, they had collected just one point out of a possible 15.
Mbalangu lost 4 games and only managed a draw against Horseed FC.
On Sunday, Mbalangu’s Mogadishu was hammered 4-0 by Heegan FC forcing the club to finally terminate his contract.
