KCCA FC, Police reached quarter finals of ongoing Stanbic Uganda Cup 2023-2024 amidst of rivals URA FC, Soltilo Bright Stars respectively.
KCCA FC edged tax collectors on a 1-0 score at Mehta Stadium, Lugazi.
The game was stopped first with 15 minutes only covered after a heavy downpour experienced but later the referee resumed play after the situation had became calm.
Second half substitute Mustafa Kizza scored a beauty of a free kick in the 85th minute and was enough to send the kasasilo boys to the next stage.
Elsewhere, Police FC edged Soltilo Bright Stars on a 4-0 score at Kavumba Recreation Grounds to teach quarter finals stage.
Isaac Ogwang scored twice, Herman Wasswa and Steven Kabuye were the other scorers for Police FC.
KCCA FC and Police FC joined other sides on the stage including BUL FC, Kitara FC as well Regional League side Pajule Lions.
