Vipers edge 10 man Busoga United to close gap on table leaders

Vipers SC 3-0 Busoga United – St Mary’s Kitende.

URA FC 0-0 SC Villa – Mehta Grounds, Lugazi.

Vipers SC had a joyful evening yesterday on Sunday of 7th when they edged Busoga United on a 3-0 score in their home St Mary’s Kitende.

From the start of the game, Vipers looked better and it was just a matter of time for goals to get in.

Eric Kambale opened the score for Vipers in the 5th minute after Yunus Sentamu had set him well.

Captain Milton Karisa doubled the lead for Vipers in the 23rd minute after Kambale set him.

The third for Vipers came in the 60th minute through a penalty spot that was taken by Abubakar Lawal after right back Grant Matsiko was fouled down.

Busoga United couldn’t even attempt for a consolation after their goalkeeper Micheal Lutaya was shown marching orders.

The results pushed Vipers SC in the second place with 30 points, 3 behind table leaders BUL FC.

On the other side, Busoga United, Busoga United remained 14th with 15 points from 15 games

Elsewhere URA FC played out a goalless draw with SC Villa at Mehta Grounds, Lugazi.
